Strength test results of the DAC1 + Cu hybrid composite using CORE-X technology.

A new technology that enhances the bonding area of the joint to high strength and significantly reduces the voids. This introduces the results of strength tests conducted on cut specimens of DAC1 + Cu joints.

At MOLE'S ACT Co., Ltd., we utilize atomic diffusion that occurs between joining surfaces for our "diffusion bonding" and combine it with our new technology, "CORE-X technology," to enhance the strength of the bonded area and significantly reduce voids. 【Strength tests conducted on cut test specimens of DAC1 + Cu dissimilar material joints!】 Photos of the test results are posted in the upper left of this page. Even when the test specimens were bent or twisted, no fractures occurred at the bonding points, demonstrating the high strength of our bonding technology. ◆ We are currently offering a document summarizing test results and technical data for various materials. Please check it out via the "PDF Download" link below.

Internal flow path diffusion bonding (ceramics, quartz glass, pure molybdenum)

Through diffusion bonding, complex shapes with internal flow paths can be realized! We are currently offering a collection of bonding case studies featuring materials such as quartz glass and pure molybdenum!

Diffusion bonding is a technology that directly joins materials together. Since it does not use adhesives or filler materials, contamination issues due to impurities do not occur. Additionally, it can suppress the occurrence of plastic deformation. By using diffusion bonding, it is possible to create hollow structures, internal flow paths, and deep holes with good straightness that cannot be achieved with conventional machining. We have a helium leak tester, so leak testing can also be conducted. 【Materials with Diffusion Bonding Achievements】 - Alumina - Aluminum nitride - Quartz glass - Silicon - SiSiC composite material - Pure molybdenum - Pure nickel We are also developing other materials. We are distributing a collection of processing examples using bonding, so please take a look. Shapes that were previously difficult to achieve may be possible by combining diffusion bonding with machining. If you have such parts, please feel free to contact Top Seiko. *The "Company Profile" was updated in December 2022. Please download it along with the "Bonding Processing Example Collection" from the link below.

Examples of applications for diffusion bonding: fuel cell separators, filters for food manufacturing, etc.

Diffusion bonding for joining metals! There are also examples of its application in fuel cell separators with complex flow path patterns and filters for food manufacturing, which cannot be achieved through cutting processes!

Layered diffusion bonding is a method of joining layered materials by applying pressure and heat in a vacuum furnace. Due to the small deformation on the order of micrometers, it is suitable for machining parts with fine flow paths and complex shapes. ■ Application examples for fuel cell separators - Capable of accommodating complex flow path patterns that cannot be achieved through cutting processes - Stable quality due to the simultaneous bonding of multiple products - Complex part shapes can be created through layering - Strong against changes and deformation of parts as no adhesives are used - Simplification of the manufacturing line and reduction of time - Achieves flow paths without gaps at the bonding surfaces, resulting in no losses ■ Application examples for filters used in food manufacturing - Material: SUS316 - Dimensions: φ25×t1.5 - Layer composition: 50μm×30 layers - Mesh dimensions: φ75μm (inner) to φ100μm (outer) taper * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
